Shape[edit]

Is there any direct experimental evidence at all that the molecule is planar and not tetrahedral? The cited review of Wang et al states there is no structural data for HgF₄. 76.212.128.2 (talk) 05:27, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oxidant[edit]

Since HgF₄ is highly unstable - even more unstable than the strongest known oxidant KrF₂ - is it possible that it is an even stronger oxidant? Or is it just unstable due to entropic reasons? --79.243.250.21 (talk) 20:04, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
