Early History[edit]

Article does not have any references to protocols used in the original Merit network. About ten years ago I made an extensive search of published papers on packet switching networks of the 70s. I placed the all the articles which I found on my site: rogerdmoore.ca I never even heard of Merit network until today. It would be most interesting to know if the communications protocols used in 1973 were original or adapted from some data communication scheme. The cursory description in this article does suggest that Merit network was a major innovation.Rdmoore6 (talk) 21:23, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
