Heisei vs. Showa[edit]

Is there some distinction between the two eras that is relevant to the shows? Like, is there some connection to the emperor in each series that makes this division important? Is this how Japanese fans of the series generally categorize them? It isn't even like that in the Japanese wiki article.

Not that I am aware of but some people still want the information. If you look at Ultra series or Super Sentai lists they separate the series out by era. Of course some people don't agree with what counts as Heisei or Reiwa (which doesn't apply to Metal Heroes) is it based on when a series started or ended? I think started but that's just my opinion.
