Route 704[edit]

It turns out that Route 704 may not be flying down Santa Monica Boulevard in December. It's not included within the MTA's December Service Plan. [1], but in a glimmer of hope, I'll keep on the list as the Servie Plan is tenative.

And there is NO PLANS for nor an EXISTING ROUTE 702! As much as I'd like to see it, it won't happen.

Substitution Rapid[edit]

Once in a while...Regular Local Buses (Painted Orange) are used on Metro Rapid Service when there is a shortage on red buses. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.200.116.203 (talk • contribs) 06:59, August 23, 2005‎ (UTC).

Please be more specific[edit]

I noticed that some headings does not yet have an associated text with it. What I mean, is this. For example, the information under Route 720 has a lot of information, while the information under the heading such as Route 740 is not there. Please be more specific about each route. And I prefer that this article be written by people who know Rapod lines in detail. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.123.205.172 (talk • contribs) 02:23, September 12, 2005‎ (UTC).

There really isn't a good case for fair use with this image, as it should be easy for someone to provide an alternative photo under a free licence. JeremyA 04:30, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Im all for using someones photo, but this is a good stand in plus it matches the kind of picture on the Metro Local page, as its from the same press photo section. RickyCourtney 17:17, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What photo? Someone got an image of the Metro Local and uploaded it; the press image was subsequently deleted. Hbdragon88 21:37, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that trying to flag a Rapid bus down is unreliable. They don't run on schedules. Maybe hte next time I head up to the LACMA I may get one. Hbdragon88 21:51, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Picture[edit]

I managed to get a picture of another Metro Rapid Bus as I was driving around LA, dunno if you guys want this image to replace the previous one i took. Jorobeq 09:17, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Route 728[edit]

This line is not operated by WSC-7. It is operated by either a San Gabriel Valley sector division or Division 2 or 10. If I find out I'll post it. But just because a line falls under a sector does not mean that the service comes from that sector's divisions. Especially since some sectors (i.e. Gateway Cities) do not have a division in their service boundaries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.9.33.203 (talk) 22:40, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another photo[edit]

I have taken another photo of the Metro Rapid bus... Image:Long Los Angeles Metro Rapid Bus 2008-04-17.jpg --AllyUnion (talk) 05:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No Ridership Information & Negative Bias[edit]

When reading this article I noticed that there is no ridership information - how many commuters actually use this service on a daily basis? Coupled with the extensive Criticism section the article as a whole appears negatively biased. AadaamS (talk) 12:06, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Waaaaay too much detail in this article...[edit]

...and I believe much of it is inaccurate. The fact that few or no sources are mentioned is a red flag for sure.

Also, this article includes far too much inconsequential detail that would not be of interest to the average Wikipedia user just seeking to learn about the Metro Rapid service. Take this quote for example: "A year after Metro introduced SmartBus technology on most of their buses, marquees were modified on most Metro Rapid buses in which the 'STOP REQUESTED' portion scrolls across the marquee instead of staying in place and 'PLEASE USE REAR EXIT' scrolls slowly. Months later, marquees were switched back to their original format." C'mon, seriously? That type of information may be of interest to a transit fan, but is not of general interest (plus, the "original format" is never even mentioned). --AlikaAlex 18:40, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
