Untitled[edit]

It's remarkable how mysterious the MTA Police is. I couldn't find:

  • Who is the commander/chief/commissioner
  • Annual budget
  • Location of headquarters
  • Any kind of substantial info about them, other than that they exist

If anyone has any of this info, please add it to the article. Thanks Paul 04:00, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed it into the article. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 04:55, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

1. Who seeks out to become a MTAP officer? Is it a pseudo disciplinary action or is it seen as a cushy position as they may never have to deal with serious crime compared to the regular NYPD?

2. As the present Commander Wilcox was involved in a scandal but still got promoted to the head of MTAP what does this say about the staff and quality of officers in this dept?

3. What is the internal NYPD feeling about this dept? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lindus (talkcontribs) 21:20, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sound like some rather loaded and prejudiced questions - I esp don't understand how someone joining a police dept could be a pseudo disciplinary action? The cushy bit is (as we say in the UK) crap as I am sure that there are any number of quieter depts that someone could join - its not as if people are conscripted into the police and then go looking for cushy postings. Also who defines serious crime? I have visited NYPD precincts where no one has fired their weapon in anger in 10 years - does that mean that the people working there have sought it out as a cushy posting. Usual childish "my jobs more important than yours" that we see in UK law enforcement too — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.150.127 (talk) 23:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
