Route 67D[edit]

Who added that, and what is your source?

Official site link[edit]

The link erroneously goes to the Durham Transit website. Correction needed.

Fair use rationale for Image:Refuel2.gif[edit]

Image:Refuel2.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Name Change[edit]

Was it necessary to change the page from Mississauga Transit to MiWay? The system was know as MT for over 40 years, and frankly I doubt that "MiWay" is going to last even ten… Useddenim (talk) 13:24, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It can be moved again if the system is renamed. (I renamed the page based on a request I received.) Mindmatrix 17:02, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ordering of sections[edit]

The facilities and services sections are now lengthy tables that break up the flow of the article. WoOuld anyone object if I move the text section that now follow them up before these sections so that the text sections can be easily read together, and then be followed by the tables that list specific details of the system? I think this would improve the flow of the article without removing any information. Ground Zero | t 13:36, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds reasonable (although changing facilities to a table actually compacted it slightly...) Useddenim (talk) 13:44, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to do this now... 14 years later... Millsy0303 (talk) 20:12, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Old Routes[edit]

I think there should be a part of the article that talks about discontinued routes like 2 (Hurontario). Information can be obtained from websites like cpdtb.ca. Spbone (talk) 21:49, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified (January 2018)[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just modified 2 external links on MiWay. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:

Bus fleet[edit]

Wikipedia is not the place for lists of indiscriminate details on bus fleets. Not only that the section was entirely unsourced. The editor who re-instated the revert added All Information which has been listed on the fleet section has been given by reliable sources on both CPTDB Wiki, Facebook, and from others. I'll remind them that all of those are not reliable sources. Ajf773 (talk) 08:47, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Completely disagree that "Wikipedia is not the place for lists of indiscriminate details on bus fleets". Perhaps you feel that way, that doesn't mean everyone else does. NemesisAT (talk) 09:23, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Add some sources then if you think the content is so important it deserves inclusion into the encyclopedia. Ajf773 (talk) 09:38, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I left a citation needed tag for that purpose, to encourage the addition of sources. Deleting content does not encourage other editors, nor does it encourage the addition of sources. NemesisAT (talk) 09:45, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You've frequently deleted, or nominated for deletion, well-sourced bus articles. It appears it's not the sourcing you're worried about, but rather the subject. NemesisAT (talk) 09:47, 22 June 2021
  • I have no problems with bus routes articles, as I have no problem challenging indiscriminate content that is also not sourced. I'll be watching the article. Ajf773 (talk) 10:01, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I believe separate routes and facilities pages are needed. See below in talk thread. Millsy0303 (talk) 16:50, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled routes 100 Airport Express and 185 Dixie Express[edit]

Should we have these routes removed from the list of routes under the Transitway Stations table? Or are we keeping them there for historic reasons? Miway.photos (talk) 22:38, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

West Credit Transit Garage Feasibility Study[edit]

The City of Mississauga release a bid awhile back that is currently still active, this is for a study of a new area that could be developed as a new garage for the storage of buses, particularly electric ones. Should we include this in the Wiki page along with a citation? Miway.photos (talk) 23:27, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of List of Routes and Facilities Pages[edit]

Seeing as the system is quite large, the lists of routes and facilities should not be included on the main article and should be kept in separate articles. I will create them in my sandbox and if there is no objection after a week or so I will publish them and remove the list from the main article.

I am doing this in response to the overly detailed tag on the article. Millsy0303 (talk) 16:48, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as there was already a List of MiWay bus routes redirect page, I have updated and published the existing list from this article. If there is no comment after a week I will remove and update the routes section to be text based. Millsy0303 (talk) 18:46, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have created a draft article listing the fleet as it also does not need to be on the main article page and has been the subject of dispute. User:Millsy0303/MiWay_fleet I will leave this for discussion for a week before I remove the fleet from the main page and submit the article for review. Seeing as much of it is unsourced, I don't feel like it will be accepted, but if User:NemesisAT would like to source or argue it that is fine by me. Millsy0303 (talk) 20:06, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
