Removed statements[edit]

I removed all this, as none of it was very appropriate:

While Fleischer may have owed his job to his brother, he had appropriate credentials. Early in his career, Fleischer served as a Foreign Service Officer in developing countries. He then left the State Department, obtained an MBA from Harvard, and went to work as a management consultant. From there, he became a buy-out fund manager, serving as CEO for the companies his fund purchased and turned around. It is ironic that his political affiliations masked his solid resume for the job of rebuilding the private sector in ruined Iraq. However, even critics saw Fleischer as honest, well-meaning and working vigorously to rebuild Iraq implementing free market principles.[1]

The above statements would make Orwell cringe. Mr. Fleischer is a professional at obfuscation and war criminal to boot.

Check out his antics---"Shock Doctrine" page 349

Addressing a gathering of Iraqi businessmen, Michael Fleischer, ... said of small Russian businesses going under as a result of shock therapy, "Will you be overwhelmed by foreign business? Only the best of youw ill survive.

This is after the US gave away the Iraqi store at gunpoint—giving out tens of billions in no bid contracts who then IMPORTED foreign workers rather then hiring Iraqis.

Page 449 is also enlightening.

Both arguments should probably be added to the article, but in an appropriate and NPOV tone.—Chowbok 18:19, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The two links at the bottom are to pages for Michael D. Fleisher, former CFO of Warner Music and Bain employee, not Michael P. Fleischer, Ari Fleischer's brother, Bogen Communications president and former employee of Irag's Coalition Provisional Authority. Ikarus2013 (talk) 15:46, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Michael, I believe I worked for you back in the day when you were in Franklin Square. I also remember your dad who had an office in Corona Queens and was a very very colorful man along with your Mom the most pleasant people to know. LD 134.56.167.122 (talk) 17:12, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
