Ideology[edit]

Ideology Marked Incorrectly, Ideology is Center Left not Center/Center Left 68.42.74.202 (talk) 00:34, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and I've long supported changing this for accuracy. I'm of the opinion that there is debate within the party from those further left that insist for ideological reasons that it's not. But, objectively and on net - and particularly on social issues, where a lot of emphasis is placed on measuring this - its a solidly center-left party, and even has a not-singificant (and ascendant) minority faction which now openly identifies as adhering to democratic socialism. Not that it doesn't still have centrists and conservatives, but they are also now a minority (and descendant) faction within the party. So, I'd put "center-left" first, and then below that "centrism (faction)" and "democratic socialism (faction)". But starting off with "center" fo its position is just not objectively true.
