I'm still new at this and can't figure out how to put the Midnight Riders' logo on this page. If you look on their website they have it available.Tsurettejr 15:07, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

speedy deletion?[edit]

Hello,

I don't think that this page should be deleted. This is a real organization, and not the only MLS supporters group on Wikipedia Section 8 Chicago, La Barra Brava, U-Sector, etc. There are detailed references in the intro paragraph. The logo has been added with a fair use description. If there is anything else needed to prevent the deletion of this article please let me know and I will make the appropriate changes.

I also agree this page should not be deleted. Its just as noteable a support club as Empire Supporters Club& the Texian Army and other MLS support groups.Tsurettejr (talk) 23:00, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

references to The Midnight Riders[edit]

The Midnight Riders are mentioned in The New England Revolution article (under supporter's section in the info box on the right) and the MLS Supporters Sections category (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Major_League_Soccer_fan_clubs).

Relevant/Notable/Important?[edit]

Is this page even notable? How is a fan club worthy of an encyclopedia entry, especially a MLS fan club? MLS fans are so small in number in America and the fan clubs are an even smaller fraction of that group.130.127.3.249 (talk) 18:33, 29 February 2008 (UTC)JML[reply]

I tend to believe it is (there are reliable sources, and notability to claims) BTW, I'd check your math, MLS is one of the top 10 soccer leagues in the world when it comes to attendance, ahead of Brazil, Portugal, and Russia, amongst others. SirFozzie (talk) 18:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Notice how the comment says "in America".
Perhaps you should notice that wikipedia is the English language wikipedia and not the American wikipedia. It is not about just one country and what happens in America. The fact remains that MLS has an average attendance that is higher than many established football playing countries, no matter what you might think and no matter how much you wish to focus solely on one country. The average is also only slightly below that of Serie A in Italy, one of the most passionate football countries in the world. The average attendance at MLS matches is 16,770. The average attendance at NBA matches is 17,757 and at NHL matches it is 16,961. So we can all use statsitics to make points. As by that comparison MLS is clearly on a par with NBA and NHL....... :) :) But regardless, these articles that you for some reason don't seem to think are notable, quite clearly are notable. :) ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 02:10, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections[edit]

I made some corrections before logging in. There were both some incorrect information and some incorrect grammar. I updated the membership number, changed leaders to president and got rid of location as there is no location for The Midnight Riders. Franharrington (talk) 07:49, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again with the notability tag?[edit]

How many times are we going to go through this? Franharrington (talk) 22:31, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
