Untitled[edit]

I removed the unsourced line that suggested that there was somehow a difference between Clinton's support of the program and Bush's, as at no time was midnight basketball a "government program" nor did Clinton envision it as such. Like many community initiatives, including many highlighted in the thousand points of light, the federal government provided competitive grants to local non-profits in order to bolster there own efforts. At no point was Midnight basketball a program of the DoJ, or any other federal agency, just like the numerous programs that win grants every year in a variety of fields are not "government programs". What?[edit]

What, exactly, is Midnight Basketball? Basketball played at midnight? Is that it? Maybe the article should explain, for thickies like me. Ta. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SquidSix (talkcontribs) 18:11, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not up to wikipedia standards[edit]

Contains unsubstantiated claims, is poorly written, and seems directed to further a particular interpretation of a historic event. Needs a significant edit. 24.5.25.173 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 03:45, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
