His personal life[edit]

I did some research on Mike Porcaro, and he was married to Cheryl McKenzie Porcaro (from about 1986 up until his death in 2015.)

His daughter, Brianne Porcaro, works in the music licensing department at 20th Century Fox. She worked on the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack.

His older son, Samuel Porcaro, is also a bass player. Has been in a few bands with Trevor Lukather (son of Toto guitarist Steve Lukather)

His youngest son, Jeffrey, also works as an art director at 20th Century Fox.

I tried adding this information, but it got deleted.

As for equipment, I remember he mostly played a gold Fender Jazz Bass, a Yamaha BB414 Bass Guitar, a Rickenbacker, a Peavey Cirrus 5 String Bass, a Music Man StingRay Bass, a Hofner Beatle Bass, an Ibanez bass and (for a very brief time) a Fender Precision Bass. As for amps, he was mostly a user of Ampeg amps, as well as the Fender Bassman and Music Man Amps.

This may help the article and inform people on what gear he had.

Also, Mike Porcaro was diagnosed in 2005, and notItalic text' 2007.

Here is a picture of him playing a red Yamaha BB414 Bass: <img src="https://images.equipboard.com/uploads/source/image/78669/big_60596095_381384879134502_8454574354978232215_n.jpg" alt="Mike Porcaro's Yamaha BB414 Bass"/>
