Census data

Can that really be accurate that Milford has a total area of less than 4 square miles? Where exactly are the borders? I thought it was from the bridge over the Little Miami to right about at I-275, but maybe that's just what is considered Milford, not the actual town itself, but I don't think so. It probably is correct.... Most of what you think of as "Milford" is probably in Miami Township (Clermont County). Milford proper is quite small... 70.62.254.122 (talk) 01:20, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

It would be good if we could find a map that shows the actual borders of the city. Seems like from the just the stuff down by the river would be more than that considering the golf course, the old folks complex, and all of "old Milford" combined. Beeblebrox (talk) 07:07, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Milford is partially in Hamilton county? Strange but true...

It is a little known fact that Milford actually is partially in Hamilton County. I know it seems wrong but it is not. The Little Miami River is the boundary between Hamilton and Clermont counties. Portions of the opposite bank of the Little Miami wedged between Terrace Park and Indian Hill are in fact in Milford. My own experience is from being a teenage hooligan in this area and having it explained to me that the Milford cops would indeed cross the bridge and had jurisdiction up to the old railroad bridge over Wooster Pike. I had assumed up to that point that this area was part of Terrace Park, but it isn't. From this map: [1]] which is from the city's own website, and this map File:Map of Hamilton County Ohio With Municipal and Township Labels.PNG which was produced by the census it is clear that Milford does indeed cross the river. The few businesses and homes that appear to be in Terrace Park east of the old railroad bridge (I'm assuming that's still there, it's been a while) actually pay their taxes to Milford. So please, let's not have any further edit warring on the subject Beeblebrox (talk) 02:32, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

If folks would like to discuss this here, be my guest. Since there is very strong evidence to support this claim I have reverted the removal of HMilton County from the article many times in the last year and a half since first posting this. I have now added a ref to the map mentioned in the above remark and a hiden comment to try and stop it happening again. Beeblebrox (talk) 15:06, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Mayor/manager edit war

The page is temporarily protected due to edit warring over who is the "leader" of Milford. This has been going back and forth for a while and it needs to stop. Also, the name of the mayor has been changed repeadtedly. If the interested parties would care to discuss the matter here that would be good. From what I can find from Milford's own website, they do indeed have a mayor and currently it is a person named Laurie Howland. Whether the city manager is "stong" or "weak" is something we can only determine if a reliable source on the subject can be located, but I think it is normal to consider the mayor the leader even in towns with a strong CM.
