Miners Protection Act Talk Page[edit]

I constructed the Miners Protection Act page through extensive resources of the government, coal organizations, and public outlets. The creation of the Miners Protection Act page came from government website, specifically the U.S. Congress officially website. The U.S. government sources are neutral and give the official history of the bill. The sources from news outlets and coal organizations are only used to describe the reaction of the people to certain actions congressmen had made toward the progression of the bill. The news sources are reporting the local opinions of people in the Appalachian community affected by the bill. The information has been updated from 2019 since the bill was originally introduced in 2015. The information given in this page displays the dynamic perspectives of local issues, federal policy, and background on the "Miners Protection Act."

I made edits on the organization of the Miners Protection Act page. I also clarified the details of events and the chronological order in which this bill was introduced and not passed. I added more research from the current standings of legislature in 2019 that this bill was influential towards. The addition of other laws that were passed that directly impacted the Miners Protection Act issues it addressed were then discussed in the page. Bills that were created due to the ideas incorporated in the Miners Protection act were also mentioned as current legislature of the bill.

The last edits I made were clarifying sources to the statements made if the source did not directly lead to the document where the information was extracted from. The other edits were grammar and restructuring sentences to remain professional. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ob appstate (talkcontribs) 10:38, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
