Ac, Pa?[edit]

Actinium, Protactinium? They're actinides, but are they minor or major? Rursus dixit. (^mbork³!) 06:47, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ac, Th, and Pa are neither, as they occur too rarely in nuclear fuel. In fact Bk, Cf, Es, and Fm should also be classified that way, and are sometimes. This makes U and Pu the major actinides, and Np, Am, and Cm the minor actinides. Double sharp (talk) 00:49, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
