More characters[edit]

Ok, here's a short list of some recurring characters who should probably be added to the list.

  • Banana Jr. 6000
  • The Giant Purple Snorklewacker
  • Tess Turbo
  • L.H. Puttgrass

That's a start. Any other suggestions? --Dynamite Eleven 04:28, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I added Tess Turbo. Reynalda is also missing. Catamorphism 07:31, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Reynelda should probably be added to Ronald-Ann Smith, though. She wasn't significant enough on her own. --Dynamite Eleven 16:06, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I meant Ronald-Ann rather than Reynalda, and didn't realize she had her own page. Catamorphism 17:28, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Rosebud gave birth to 50 jackabasselopes who matured and left after a week."

Actually, that is the incorrect number of babies. The real number is 64. I can confirm this because I have the Happy Trails book in front of me. Here's a quote of the strip I'm referring to, page 68, top strip, first panel:

Hodge: 64 new babies, Port. Screamin'... Wigglin'... Piddlin'... All needing a college education...

I think you got the number fifty from the strip where Opus calls Pampers, Inc. about free diaper donations shortly after Rosebud gave birth to the Jackabasselopes. - NES Boy 23:12, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Changed. :) --Dynamite Eleven 21:58, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ash Dashley?[edit]

Was Dashley in Loose Tales? In know for a fact he wasn't in any other book, and if he isn't in Loose Tales it should definitely be specified.

W. A Thornhump[edit]

"Thornhump's test, of course, reveals that he is a serious alcoholic. This point is driven home when Opus appears with his six-martini lunch. The bar tab reveals the consumption of "139 ounces of Brazilian cocaine" although Thornhump is not fired because he is "not expendable"."

~I thought the last sentence in the above excerpt applied to Bill the Cat. I'll have to find my copy of the strip for the reference. Xsintricks (talk) 22:37, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Armand Dipthong[edit]

Should it be "Dipthong" or "Diphthong"? After this edit the heading disagrees with the text. Google isn't much help; does anyone have the book mentioned in the references? -- John of Reading (talk) 19:01, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two years later, and I'm tackling Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/D once more. And this time I've found a cartoon showing the name to be "Dipthong" - #11 at www.cartoonistgroup.com. -- John of Reading (talk) 11:54, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Limekiller Australian?[edit]

Limekiller's national origin was never divulged that I recall, so I'm a bit confused as to why he is referred to as an Australian. This page refers to him as having an Australian accent, though it's impossible to tell an accent just from the printed word. He does say things like "Bloody marvelous" and "'Ello, let's get together, chaps" but those could just as easily be British. Any better clues?Tap1981 (talk) 04:05, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
