Ambiguity[edit]

Who is a person whose two grand-parents are Mischlinge 1st Degree? A Mischlinge 2nd degree or a Deutschblüttiger? --Vovanik (talk) 15:08, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a specialist, but according to the article, the grandparents could not be Mischlinge, because their jewishness depended on their faith. Note that the faith of an individual was recorded in birth, marriage, and death certificates. Also, generations before the grandparents could not be taken into account simply because the corresponding certificates were not readily available.  Andreas  (T) 17:50, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What if you grandparents were unknown?[edit]

There must have been plenty of orphans of unmarried mothers in Germany, where the grandfather was unknown, and there are always a few people in a population where the records will be even sketchier (abandoned children). What happened if records of grandparents didn't exist? Would an orphan of unknown parentage be assumed Aryan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.244.153.18 (talk) 12:25, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
