Manual of Style and flags[edit]

The Manual of Style says pretty unambiguously that sub-national flags, such as Puerto Rico ~~counties~~ municipalities, can only be used if directly relevant, and gives examples like an article about the specific government entity. I fail to see how that relates to this article and this edit reverting my reoval of the flags, in particular. ☆ Bri (talk) 04:41, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, recent consensus on a related issue, Beauty pageants and special formatting?, was that pageants follow MoS like any other article. ☆ Bri (talk) 04:51, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They're relevant because they adding to what is shown in terms of each municipality the contestants are representing. Think of it as a delegation perspective. The flag and municipality name is being represented with the contestant being the delegate. IZ041 (talk) 02:23, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
