Cleanup[edit]

Wait a second...what abbreviations are used that need cleaning up? Besides DSSD, which is cleary explained in the article, the only other abbreviations I see are SEED, ONA, and OVA, of which anyone searching for this should known.

Also, why remove all of the character information, or at least why not link it to the CE Character page with that information. The information comes from Japanese magazines and has been posted in a variety of places, including 2ch and other news-breaking sites.

Name Spelling[edit]

Shouldn't "Sven Cal Bayan" be "Sven Cal Bayang"? The Strike Noir model kit manual spells it this way, and I've never seen any other official source spell it as "Bayan". DarkWarrior 19:26, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But thats not always right, and the Japanese are known to get incorrect spellings of many things in the Gundam animes, such as "Valcan Gun" and "Beam Sabel" from Gundam Seed Phase-01. And If I read correctly, doesn't that model kit also call Strike Noir as the Strike Noir Gundam? yet it is not a Gundam. Dudeman74 01:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Same with "Gundam Astray Red Frame", "Akatsuki Gundam", etc. Gundams sell better than non-Gundams, so they're pretty liberal with the usage of "Gundam" on model kits. Calaschysm 14:39, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the official Stargazer website calls them Strike Noir, Verde Buster, and Blu Duel, but the model kits tack on "Gundam" at the end. But that's not the issue I'm talking about. Unless there is an official source that spells it "Bayan", the name "Sven Cal Bayang" is the only official spelling I've seen, so I believe we should go with Bayang. Any thoughts? As far as I known, Bayan is just a rough translation made by fans, and not the official spelling. DarkWarrior 14:53, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bayang does seem to be the official spelling, but "Bayan" isn't what I'd call a rough translation, as it's a perfect translation of the characters used. Ba-ya-n. Calaschysm 20:49, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to change Bayan to Bayang since nobody can provide any source that Bayan is the official spelling. Yes, Bayan is the correct translation of the characters used, but so is Asuran.. but how many people use that spelling? Most people use the official spelling. If there are any problems, please leave a comment here. DarkWarrior 01:31, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I never said it was Bayang, just disagreed with the usage of "rough translation." Calaschysm 01:41, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well in all actuality. Most Gundams are identified due to the very first Gundam ever. The characteristic that usually sets a Gundam apart from most MS is the V fin that appears on its forehead. Although this isn't always the case for all Gundams. Turn A Gundam had the V fin on it's mouth making it look like a mustache. And ofcourse there's also the fact that Strike Noir's OS sports the acronym, General Unilateral Neuro-Link Dispersive Autonomic Maneuver. Isn't that where Kira got the name "Gundam."

ZAFT MS[edit]

The ZAFT MS do not belong to ZAFT but are rebels who believed in Zala's ideal. These people are the ones attacking EAF bases all over the world.

Its not even shown that they belonged to the terrorist! Its even possible that Phantom Pain them self have used the GINN. In Destiny it was shown that they had extendet in training during that time. Maybe they picked up 3 of them and threw them into the Ginn to create anti-coordinator feelings. Its clear that an organisation like Phantom pain is capable of killing theire own Soldier (or in this case regular EA soldier) and civilians if its fits theire goals.

Othergrunty. 1.08.2006

Provide some proof if you can. Their ZAFT insurgents who believe in Zala. Nameless 24.08.2006
