Comments[edit]

Basically there would be no reason to reject the suggestion. Only it would need a sound editing of the M-Commerce article in the first place and then a further edit to remove the resulting redundancies. That would take some effort. Therefore no hasty action, I would say. --Raj 23:56, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why are the following links allowed, but my attempt to add a link to another commercial entity (www.easyreach.com) was rejected by absolutDan?

  • KushCash Mobile Payment System, Secure Wireless Transfers Corp. (U.S.A)
  • Vipera Mobile Commerce Platform

As I mentioned on your talk page just now, I have removed those other 2 links as well - they are not appropriate for this article either. Cheers --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:49, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

THanks for the explanation. Makes sense now. Greyhound4334 19:57, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

Hi, I suggest this article is moved to "Mobile commerce", as it is not a proper noun. It would also be in line with electronic commerce. Somno (talk) 01:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Predictions[edit]

This article had a lot of text written as predictions. "This will..." "...are exploring..." Where those things are now commonplace, I've altered the text to make statements of fact instead of predictions. Where that wasn't true, I've deleted the statements, in keeping with Wikipedia policy that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. If anyone objects to these edits, I ask that before you restore them, you first find reliable secondary sources to back up the claim, and add appropriate references. Macwhiz (talk) 14:04, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed a factual statement in the article which is backed by a source containing only a prediction : The article reads "41% of smartphone customers have purchased retail products with their mobile devices. [8]" The source [8] reads "It is predicted that at least 41% of smartphone customers will purchase retail products through smartphones by the year 2012." I'll let you decide whether to edit the article or update the source. If I find more recent data I'll post the source it here later. Niomay (talk) 08:08, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Youth culture section[edit]

I had to remove chunks of the youth culture section because they were incoherent, and there were no references to use to try and decipher them. I couldn't even find good sources with a Google search. Additionally, large parts of it seemed to be promotional or predictive in nature. Frankly, I'm not sure this section belongs in this article; it seems like it better belongs under Memetics. This section needs more references, or it needs to be removed as unsubstantiated and of limited relevance. Macwhiz (talk) 15:19, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mobile Money Transfer messed up[edit]

The section "Mobile Money Transfer" somehow got a bit chaotic. I reverted the last edit and tried to find other incorrect edits but don't have the time to look deeper into it now. Also, I haven't got enough knowledge about those money transfer services to correct the statements in the last sentence. Fsaenger (talk) 13:52, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
