I have marked the "history" section POV; it is the usual marketing speech from MTLists. The description of the "limitations" of POJ is not supported by facts. – Kaihsu 21:44, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone who knows more Taiwanese - and particularly MTL - than me needs to correct some of that vocab. "Sorry" in Taiwanese is (roughly) paisei, not whatever that's supposed to be.--59.121.191.228 09:08, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More than ASCII needed[edit]

The intro paragraph says "MLT is able to use the ASCII character set to indicate the proper variation of pitch without any subsidiary scripts or diacritic symbols." While I suppose that's technically true—it can indicate tones using ASCII characters, it makes it sound like MLT as a whole only requires the ASCII character set. However, MLT can't represent all the vowels using only the ASCII character set. It also needs the non-ASCII "ø". Perhaps the intro should be changed to not mention "ASCII" specifically, and just say that MLT doesn't use diacritics for tones? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.192.164.193 (talk) 18:48, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
