Untitled[edit]

According to the official materials (especially the list of qualifiers [1], but also according to the summary of the qualification system [2]), there are several factical mistakes in this article... I will try to return and correct it, but I will be glad if anyone does that instead of me. Okino 14:27, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Riding[edit]

I find it interesting that the Equestrian portion of the event is held in a Beijing venue instead of HK. Any more info on this? Thanks. --Kvasir (talk) 19:48, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's because they use local horses for the Modern Pentathlon. The story of the event is that, during a battle, a soldier is asked to deliver a message, and he jumps onto the back of an unfamiliar horse. For this, they randomly draw horses 20 minutes before the riding part of the event begins. That's why this was in Beijing, but all the Equestrian events were in Hong Kong.
