Not factual and incorrect insertions[edit]

can we please do something about the incorrect, not factual, and seemingly irrelevant additions to this page. It’s getting to the level where it’s started to feel like targeted defamation. Things are being written that aren’t backed up by accredited sources. In addition, information about other people that do not have a direct effect on this individual’s biography are being connected to this page and the information about those other people isn’t even written down factually or correctly as well with what is in line with online sources and known public facts. 172.58.30.175 (talk) 09:11, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've protected the article. The source provided with the edit at issue doesn't mention anything about this person, so any claims about them are speculation. Should the issue continue after the protection expires(or before from more established editors) you may request more protection at WP:RFPP. 331dot (talk) 09:25, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also don’t see support for the now deleted language re him going to Egypt at 18. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:78C6:F85C:3785:916B (talk) 09:12, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 26 November 2023[edit]

On the last line of the page, it seems very oddly targeted about Mauro Hamza. Mohamed Hamza has an entire coaching staff that works with him as an athlete, as any top ranked athlete has nowadays, and it is unfair to them and to Mohamed to single out one of his coaches for no specific reason. Also the Mauro Hamza page has been defamed to a serious extent so it seems very targeted to link his page to Mohamed Hamza’s page without any specific reason other than to link it to a page that has been riddled with false and/or skewed information.

Basically, I am kindly asking to delete the last line about his coaching staff as it is incomplete and is connected to a misinformed, defamed page. 197.56.97.245 (talk) 11:43, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: The source cited by the article seems reliable, and it backs up the statement that you want to remove. Please cite your own reliable source if you want to remove this.
If you do have a COI, as suggested by the other editor, use {{Edit COI}} instead. Thriftycat TalkContribs 03:35, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please change “ He is coached by his father, Mauro Hamza.” to be deleted in its entirety due to comments made above previously. 197.56.97.245 (talk) 11:49, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By your comments, you appear to have a COI. What is supported by RS ref (the FIE) is that his father is his coach. Your assertion - as though you know him - that he has other coaches suggests you know him or are him or his father or otherwise have a COI. We follow the RS. Not your personal knowledge. There is one - only one - other coach referenced who could be added. But he is non notable .. so it is less imperative that he be added. His father is the notable coach he has. As to the coach's page - one editor calling it defamation whose edits mirror yours has already been suspended for a week. And you have inserted false information there - reverted by admins and others. It is those like you who are seeking to change RS information. Some from Egypt and Texas. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:78C6:F85C:3785:916B (talk) 09:01, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Requesting that the infobox line item as follows be restored and filled in as follows.

| coach = Mauro Hamza

If an editor wants to also add the other, non-notable, coach, also supported by the FIE ref, that is fine with me as well, though, since the coach is not notable, it is not as imperative. The fact that there is a line item for this demonstrates well that it is normal to reflect the athlete’s coach. Not to hide it. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:78C6:F85C:3785:916B (talk) 09:20, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
