I think Monica Ali should be describe as Bangladeshi British writer at the start of the article. Isn't that right.Tarif from Bangladesh 18:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We usually just include a person's nationality, and she moved to the UK at the age of three, so she was raised there in addition to having British nationality. SlimVirgin (talk) 18:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Technically, she is a British Bengali. I guess "British writer of Bangladeshi origin" should be appropriate. --Ragib 18:22, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, if other people want it, I have no objection. SlimVirgin (talk) 18:58, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Islam[edit]

Is she still nominally Muslim or has she rejected it entirely? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.11.228.137 (talk) 02:39, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
