Requested move 26 December 2016[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved as proposed. As this is a typeface, it should be disambiguated with the word typeface. (closed by non-admin page mover) Bradv 03:56, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Monospace (Unicode)Monospace (typeface) – Alternatively: "Monospace (font)", but that seems ambiguous. This page name is inaccurate because while its subject is related to Unicode for its coverage of Unicode characters, it has nothing directly to do with other Unicode topics that might be disambiguated with "(Unicode)". Normally "(font)" would be best, but this is distinguishable from Monospaced font only by three letters two of which are punctuation. 71.210.8.251 (talk) 01:52, 26 December 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. • Support, with either typeface or font as disambiguator. Which do we use more commonly? Looks like typeface. Dicklyon (talk) 04:21, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support with "typeface" ("font" implies a specific piece of software rather than the underlying typeface it implements). Regardless, the present title is a mis-disambiguation.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  03:28, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Use "typeface" - Hopefully, the title case change shall encourage future quality improvements by future editors. The article currently is small and need expansion. --George Ho (talk) 03:59, 18 January 2017 (UTC); edited. 04:00, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
