Berlin museum images[edit]

There are a pair of images in the de.wikipedia.org article for Monotype of the monotype machine on display in the Technical Museum in Berlin, but I don't know how to include them properly.

- Thats not for this page, but the other M Corp. one Johnbod 03:13, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be called Monotype really[edit]

even if disambiguation needed, which it would be. Johnbod 03:14, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, it should not, without further disambiguation in the title.

There are two completely separate meanings of the word monotype, one of which is capitalised and is the trademarked name of the Monotype machine, usually just called a Monotype by people (like me) who've actually used one, and the other, not capitalised, which refers to an individual print produced by the monotype process.

Monotype machine[edit]

Monotype machine should point here rather than the Monotype Corporation site. Dothefandango (talk) 20:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, it should not, as it is a completely different subject. Johnbod (talk) 00:49, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. The Monotype machine, or perhaps Monotype Supercaster, should have its own article, similar to the article describing the Linotype linecaster, and not be subsumed within an article about the company which developed and sold it. Lee-Anne (talk) 04:34, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

how does one find a machine for printing a monoprint? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.119.45 (talk) 16:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
