Romanization of 真岡[edit]

While I kind of agree Mooka should be the "correct" romanization, The city government and the railway company seem to consistently use Mōka (admittedly, often without a macron), for their official website, trains, and the station. So if we are to follow "use the official spelling" rule, I guess it should be Mōka rather than Mooka. The probrem is, it may be possible they are just being sloppy of English names (as Maxima m claimed so on Talk:Miki Railway Miki Line), and we often don't know which is the case. While the railway company apparently chooses use "Moka", 真岡 should correctly be romanized as "Mooka". It is Mo + Oka, not "Mou + Ka", so "Mōka" is not really correct. --DAJF (talk) 09:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
