I disagree with the statement that there is an implicit connection between Lovecraft's moonbeasts and the people of Id. While both are described as repulsive, and have toad-like characteristics, there are several points that distinguish them. The Ib people are green-skinned while the moon beasts are described as greyish-white. The men of Ib are not as changing size or shape while the moon beasts can expand or contract body parts at will. Most significantly, the men of Ib have protruding eyes and fleshy lips while the moon beasts have no facial features other than a writhing mass of pink tentacles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.155.236.163 (talk) 00:18, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion[edit]

I instinctively oppose this kind of swift, almost stealthy decrease of Wikipedia content. Sure, the article needs improvement (oddly, no Category:Articles needing improvement exists that I could find quickly). Moon-beasts are an integral part of the Lovecraftian bestiary and deserve a place in Wikipedia. One possible compromise would be to regroup stubs like this one into a single page.
