Resolved: Additional sources to incorporate[edit]

In case others get to adding these before I do. Innisfree987 (talk) 04:04, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Chronicle article says only that she's starting a summer program to train mathematicians to be expert witnesses for redistricting cases. It's already listed in the Additional Reading section and (until the program actually kicks off and achieves something) I'm not sure there's much to add. The Concord Monitor one looks mostly cribbed from the same sources. And I looked at the Atlantic one when initially drafting this article, but it didn't seem to have any content actually about Duchin, only quotes from her about the more general situation of women in mathematics (which is an important topic, but not one for this article). —David Eppstein (talk) 05:03, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I will try and add some information on her gerrymandering work. The Chronicle article might be a good link for that. Gizem Karaali (talk) 15:21, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with David. The Atlantic and Concord Monitor articles were not included. I referenced the Chronicle article once more, including a few details that emphasized the connection between Duchin's geometry background and how it relates to the gerrymandering application. —Anna Marie Vagnozzi (talk) 16:24, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved: "Duchin" shouldn't come straight here[edit]

There are other famous people named "Duchin". So, the search for "Duchin" should take you to a list of people with that surname, from which Moon Duchin would be a choice, but also Eddy Duchin and Peter Duchin, who are more famous than Moon Duchin.2604:2000:C682:2D00:F021:BA9D:EEF3:34FC (talk) 00:06, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Christopher L. Yes, I agree (as creator of the current redirect). I will turn it into a surname list. —David Eppstein (talk) 00:32, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved: Confirmed that "Duchin" redirects to the surname list. —Anna Marie Vagnozzi (talk) 15:06, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
