Copyright problems[edit]
The former contents of this page included duplication of a "report" which was evidently created by private individuals under their own initiative. I've been searching for some time to find any evidence that this material can be replicated under public domain or that has been released under a license compatible with GFDL, but I've found nothing. The individuals who filed it are all former politicians or military men who were not operating as designated agents of the US federal government at the time of this report. US law provides that laws & legal rulings are not protected by copyright, so, of course, any findings that may be filed by the Department of Defense would be public domain.
Since there is no new version provided in the temporary page and since there is actually less substantial content here, without that infringement, than currently exists at USS Liberty incident, I am deleting this article and creating a redirect. A new article on this subject may be appropriate, other factors considered, but without evidence that the text of the report can be used, it must not be included here. (Of course, even if evidence can be provided that it is usable, it should not be, per Wikipedia:Do not include copies of primary sources, but at that point it is a matter of guideline, not policy.) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:50, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
