Genetic drift and variety production[edit]

I edited the sentence in the introduction to include mutation as a variety-producing process and genetic drift as a variety-reducing process. Genetic drift, like natural selection, can only fix or eliminate alleles from a population; therefore the article was incorrect in in giving genetic drift as an example of a variety-producing process.
