Refinements[edit]

Hi, Funcrunch. I made some refinements to this article page which I hope you and others appreciate. For one thing, I moved the official URL to the article's Wikidata item Q23001035 which template:infobox television now supports thanks to the efforts of Frietjes. I added some other items to the SMIM Wikidata item. You can see my Wikidata adds here. Wikidata makes you add edit by edit so there are many diffs in that history.

You can see my edits here and here. I made a omission typo which a bot fixed in the next edit. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 19:12, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Checkingfax! I don't have much experience creating new articles (yet), and I have yet to use Wikidata at all, so I appreciate the refinements. Funcrunch (talk) 19:21, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Funcrunch. I am a better remodeler than a builder (so far). I got introduced to Wikidata when I was working on the article about musicician Michael Laucke and I came across a template called {{authority control}} which I saw used on Courteney Cox's page on the Commons but I could not figure out how to make it work on Wikipedia but by poking around and around I figured out that you post a bare authority control template, put the data on Wikidata, and Wikidata will populate it to Wikipedia. Later I found you could do the same thing with URLs: put a template on Wikipedia and populate it from Wikidata. Frietjes, at my suggestion, made it so the infobox television template can now populate the URL in your article from Wikidata--but you have to add the URL to the Wikidata item for the article if it is not there already. If you go to articles, and look in the left hand column of links you will see the link to the article's Wikidata item. I have now done about 2500 adds to Wikidata. I just take them one-by-one as needed. Scroll to the bottom of the Michael Laucke article or most biography articles, etc. and you can see an example of what authority control is all about. It's a library thing. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 19:32, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New season[edit]

There is a new season that just started. Date need to be added please. I'd do it, but I have no idea how. I'm not even sure if I'm putting this in the correct spot. I'll atempt to figure out how to edit the page to add the dates but it might happen fasster if someone else does it. Thanks. Forwardriding (talk) 10:01, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done; thanks for the note. Funcrunch (talk) 14:35, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
