I'll take one next time I'm in the centre during daylight! The problem is getting it all in one shot as you can't get very far away from the front!

I also want to write a bit more about the Town Hall. I went on a guided tour last year and learned some interesting things about it!

Since I've never been in the middle of Morley on Bonfire Night can anyone verify whether they have a band and entertainment there? I thought this was only for when they turn the Christmas Lights on? There was certainly no evidence of children's rides on either Friday night or Monday morning when I passed through.

Also, what's the bit about the clock being unreliable? I've only seen it stopped twice in seven years. I've used it many times to make sure I'm not late for buses and trains and it's not failed me yet. TheHugmonsters 22:00, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Architect[edit]

The article states "It bears a strong resemblance to Bolton Town Hall, being designed by the same architect." whose text says "It (Bolton town hall) was designed by William Hill", yet this source says it was "Holtom & Fox, a firm of Dewsbury architects". Can anyone throw any light on this, please?--Harkey (talk) 10:10, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - Morley Town Hall was designed by G. A. Fox. So it was clearly not designed by the same architect. Dormskirk (talk) 14:35, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
