Sourcing[edit]

I've exhausted every source I could find on Katz/Katts that isn't the other Katz. It's a brief article but I think it's complete. The anthology is inaccessible (rare, self-published) but fits within the scope of Further reading for those interested. czar 17:45, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shorter title[edit]

Wouldn't the names Moyshe Katz (writer) and Moyshe Katz (editor) be simpler instead of specifying birth year? Generalissima (talk) 18:09, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    • Yes, that's what Avrich and Friedman used
  • Can you provide the spelling of his name in Yiddish?
    • I assume it's something like "‏" but I haven't seen a source print it, so I would usually stick with the best-known English name
  • Seems odd to title the section "Early life and career" when it covers his entire biography, not just the earlier parts. Suggest simply "Biography" or "Life and career".

  • "The Kropotkin and Berkman translations were done with Abraham Frumkin" Avrich 1988, p. 185 doesn't mention Frumkin. Might be worth rearranging the citations so they're placed in line with what they verify. Also maybe add "together" before "with"?
    • The paragraph has two citations, so both apply to the paragraph
  • You should rearrange the sentences about his transition towards Zionism, bringing them together. It currently reads like a repetition of information.

    • The one I found was for the Communist Katz and I haven't found any others (or even an archive that would appear to have one). I could include an image of the periodicals he published but I feel that those would be more decorative in this short of an article.
