Experiences with Moto-E[edit]

I just took delivery of my new Moto-E and came here to learn about it. Thanks for a great article. I'll add content here as appropriate. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 02:55, 13 May 2015 (UTC) -- I'm seeing a good company (Republic Wireless).[reply]

Keeping up with pricing of the hardware[edit]

The Moto-E smartphone I received in the mail yesterday cost me $99 (not the higher price given in the Article herein). Humbly, may I ask more-experienced WP Editors their insight(s)? -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 10:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Common practice with phones is for carriers to discount as incentive for you to sign up for their service. Like selling an iPhone for less than their retail price of $649. - GalatzTalk 13:42, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I should have thought of that since I do have the biggest/best iPhone 3. Now it is time to consider monthly costs. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 19:25, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cutoms Roms[edit]

Are there any cumstom Roms for this device? --79.247.106.203 (talk) 21:28, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About the hardware[edit]

The article says under hardware that "it does not have a LED notification light" (Paragraph 2). This is slightly wrong, as there IS a notification LED next to the front camera. It is, however, not used by the stock ROM at all. Using Cyanogenmod will show it up when charging the phone. I thing we should mention that in the article. --91.6.209.156 (talk) 10:11, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
