Source[edit]

The first source referencing his French citizenship actually says he's Tunisian working in the US, either the source or the statement should be changed. Bsckr (talk) 10:50, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

he's a french national with Tunisian descent, the statement's correct. he holds both French and American citizenship. he's tunisian descent from his father. CharlesViBritannia (talk) 14:13, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@CharlesViBritannia: According to the Guardian source he is "American" of "Tunisian-French" descent, shouldn't American appear in the lead?--ReyHahn (talk) 15:25, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
he's not of french descent lol. he was born in france. he holds both french and american citizenship. CharlesViBritannia (talk) 15:29, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I mispoke. Sure, I am referring to the fact that "American" was removed from the lead.--ReyHahn (talk) 15:35, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Advisors[edit]

Error is this statement: "He received his A.B. in 1982 from Harvard University[11] and his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1988 from the University of Chicago supervised by Takeshi Oka."

This should read instead: "He received his A.B. in 1982 from Harvard University[11] and his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1988 from the University of Chicago supervised by Karl Freed and Takeshi Oka." The Academic Tree is user generated content so it is not reliable, anybody can edit it.We need a better source. The current available source only cites Mowandi as thesis student of Takeshi Oka. Also Freed is not cited in his H+3 papers.--ReyHahn (talk) 00:28, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just added Freed back, it is in his thesis link.--ReyHahn (talk) 01:03, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 5 October 2023[edit]

Moungi recieved an MA from Harvard in 1983, as can be seen here https://www.harvardmagazine.com/2023/10/moungi-bawendi-nobel-prize and on the UChicago alumni page (only visible to alumni and students). I'm not sure if he also recieved his MS from UChicago but he definitely recieved his MA from Harvard Frishberg (talk) 17:06, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for noticing. Corrected.--ReyHahn (talk) 17:54, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Selected publications section[edit]

Do we really need a selected publications section? Laypersons are not going to check them and academics are just going to look them elsewhere. It should be reserved to books or important reviews. ReyHahn (talk) 20:26, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
