Homo erectus[edit]

I heard somewhere (i'll try to find the source) that mungo man is much too anatomically different from any humans too be classified as such, and that there was evidence he may have been homo erectus. try to go into more detail about that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.164.94.55 (talk • contribs) 20:49, 4 November 2006

A minor but helpful edit would be simply to spell out, define, or otherwise clarify the abbreviation, "ka", for those, like me, who are unfamiliar with it, as it is used twice in the following sentence. "Since remains of a robust form of modern humans have been found in Ethiopia dating to about 160 ka, and similar remains have been dated at Jebel Qafzeh in Israel at about 100 ka, it is conceivable that Mungo Man's maternal ancestor left Africa in an early wave." 72.64.13.109 (talk) 22:46, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Shouldn't Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names) apply with regard to Mungo Man vs Mungo Lake remains. Also isn't it appropriate to use the move tool, rather than a redirect to maintain article history. Wapondaponda (talk) 06:50, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
