Ontario Term Limits[edit]

Currently, the Ontario Legislature is debating legislation (Bill 81, Schedule H) that may increase the length of terms in office for all municipal elected officials from three years to four. If passed, this would come into effect before these elections. It is widely speculated that this legislation will pass easily. NDP Johnny 14:20, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's probably a good idea... as long as the people elected are decent, it would reduce costs and whatnot. Honour 19:17, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Can the author give external sources for partisanry in municipal elections? I'm doing some research for my Master's on this, and I'd just as soon not have to redo someone else's fine sleuthing :-p Honour 19:17, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have any sources, sorry- the information has been accumulated in my brain from my interest in elections in Canada. I'd have to do just as much sleuthing as you to find sources. I would be interested to see if there are any other cities, this is just a list of what I know. -- Earl Andrew - talk 20:06, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
