Alfred Bester wrote the script as well as the story it was based on.[edit]

One way that this could be communicated would be to replace based on Fondly Fahrenheit, a 1954 story by Alfred Bester on the pages first line with written by Alfred Bester based on his 1954 short story Fondly Fahrenheit or something similar. This film can be viewed at either campus (NYNY or LACA) of the Paley Center for Mediaⁿ.

(Side note, these two copies may be the only copies available to the public, or perhaps at all. Jim Freund, host of the long running (~50 years) speculative fiction radio program Hour of The Wolf radio program on WBAI in New York, told me that Bester had asked for a copy of the tape, which Freund had viewed in Besters small private theater, and that Bester had told him that he was going to leave it to the Paley Center. He speculated that this was the copy that the Paley Center has -- which is supported by the fact that when I tried to view it at the NY Paley Center, they had trouble finding a projector that could show it because it was in an unusual format. Second Broadcast[edit]

(At the end of the second paragraph) In a move that was quite unusual at the time for teleplays, NBC aired it a second time a year letter on the weekend when the Hugo it was nominated for was to be announced (Twilight Zone won).

Set designed by Ted Cooper.

(I am providing this information but not suggesting whether or not it should be included on the page. Since Ted Cooper is my father I cannot be objective.)

Note that for a work like this the sets are not merely someones hotel room, a boxing ring or place of business and the set design is necessarily a much more prominent aspect of the production. Someone else should decide whether or not it should be included.
