Untitled[edit]

This page claims that the Musti character was created *before* Miffy/Nijntje by Dutch cartoonist Dick Bruna. Where's the proof? Other sites clearly state that Musti appeared AFTER the first Nijntje books were published. 68.164.200.16 (talk) 01:54, 1 January 2008 (UTC) RabbitLover[reply]

The source is KinderTV, a Dutch-language database of popular Dutch children books, series and movies. This is the link: [[1]]. Here's another source, from Canada: [[2]]. When other sites claim that Musti (the TV series) appeared after the first Nijntje books were published, they're correct. However, the character Musti seems to be created before the character Miffy was created. --193.32.30.72 (talk) 08:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, practically all (Dutch) sources say 1969, I've edited the introduction.IsaWP (talk) 22:23, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Musti .gif[edit]

Image:Musti .gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The name "Musti"[edit]

Does anyone happen to know what kind of name "Musti" is? Please don't say Dutch.--80.141.175.209 (talk) 17:04, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be a name with unknown origin, it doesn't mean anything in Dutch or Flemish Dutch specifically, but it is in use as first name, last name and apparently also a place in Germany.IsaWP (talk) 22:23, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
