Issues[edit]

Since this article has had several authors, I will discuss the issues on this article talk page, rather than at the author's talk pages.

Unreferenced

The article does not cite any sources other than a single patent application. This is insufficient to verify the facts and claims the article makes for this protocol.

Notability

There is no indication, either in the article or in any searches that I could perform, that this protocol has received any notice or any real implementation outside of the strictly academic setting. While the protocol seems really cool, unless it has actually been used and taken note of, it doesn't really belong in Wikipedia.

Original research

The article appears to have been written by members of DevLab, where the protocol was developed. Wikipedia is not the place to publish your research. -- WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:49, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see several scientific references have been added to support the statement.

For notability a table has been added with applications, with links to independent journals/magazines describing the applications.

Regarding original research there are 4 articles added of third party research of the MyriaNed protocol. Cryptos2k (talk) 16:03, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is just a description of a well-established networking approach (flood networking)

I don't really see why this article is here at all. Basically, "MyriaNed" is just flood networking ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flooding_(computer_networking) ) with wireless, rather then wired, connections. As such, it's not new, revolutionary, or notable. DevLab certainly isn't the first to take the flood-approach to networking, so the approach of documenting the protocol design process as if it were something new is certainly spurious.

If there is any new information, it should be added to the flood-networking page, not a separate page here.

This entire article should probably be just a 1-2 sentence stub, or a redirect to the flood-networking page. 184.187.163.42 (talk) 09:02, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
