While roster sizes were expanded to 13 active players, a team does not have to have all 13. They can have 12 active + one inactive. See the Coon source.—Bagumba (talk) 17:05, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Naturally, this article now needs updating with the new CBA taking effect for the 2017–18 season. Indeed, the roster size portion is going to be distinctly different, with much greater importance of the D-League becoming a thing. Now I'm not yet familiar enough with all the details (wanting to learn them is why I came to this article in the first place), so I'm not likely to be helpful, but it's definitely needed. oknazevad (talk) 05:06, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
