Galaxy size is not extended radio emission size.[edit]

The details are being discussed on my talk, but I figured I'd leave a note here. The ~2º size for NGC 6251 comes from its extended radio emission. This is not representative of the actual physical size of the galaxy, since it is likely due to old jets from a central AGN. The stellar light is closer to ~2' in extent, so galaxy's "size" is more like ~50kpc. Big, but not huge. - Parejkoj (talk) 16:59, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
