Sandite vehicle[edit]

It's highly unlikely that the sandite train will return to use because Translink plan to purchase a new one as part of their capital expenditure plans in the next 2 years.Jimmy1109 (talk) 19:55, 15 May 2008 (UTC) So we all thought - but it kept going until 2017! Vehicle 8099[edit]

If anyone is wondering where 8099 is, it hasn't been "Scrapped" - it's sitting in the car park of the East Lancashire Railway in Bury, Manchester, England, with a little bit of rust showing but otherwise in fairly good nick, no idea what it's doing there, it isn't railed or anything. Incident involving Class 80[edit]

This incident which involve a door opening and hitting a bridge was a one off, not as has been reported by the person vandalising the page. The door had not been properly closed at the last stop. It has not happened since, and checks have been stepped up at each station. Please stop vandalising.Jimmy1109 (talk) 23:45, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unknown Fates[edit]

In the vehicle fate tables, several vehicles are listed as Unknown. Is this necessary when we know they were scrapped, even if the date/scrapping company/reason for scrapping are unknown? Otherwise Unknown implies the vehicle is lost somewhere. Or is there a reason behind such an option?

Notes on scrapping and in particular 8767/8740[edit]

Several vehicles were described as having been removed and "destroyed" in 2008. As the word destroyed implies unauthorised destruction rather than proper scrapping, I have changed this to scrapping.

8767 and 8740 were described as having been destroyed by NIR by fire. As this is potentially libellous I have changed it to simply "Destroyed by fire" - if you wish to change this back, please provide evidence. AndyB (talk) 19:41, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
