Multi-purpose article[edit]

As mentioned elsewhere (Talk:Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite#Dual-purpose or special purpose article?), an article about a satellite launch has (at least) two functions. One is to document the satellite itself, and the other is to document the flight of the launch system that places the satellite into orbit. Of course those can be separate articles, but that might be unnecessary cluttering of the article namespace, leading to reader confusion. Any thoughts on that regarding this satellite and its launch would be good to get explicit here on the article's talk page.... (sdsds - talk) 23:18, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
