Nagao Takano[edit]

This Japanese name was put into the article on 16 Sept. 2008 by User:Da Vynci [1] without any explanation. Either remove it or explain and give a reference. Andreas ^(T) 19:59, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it, but according to the Chinese article, he took it after Japanese doctor Takano Choei (高野長英), but even the Chinese doesn't explain it. Seems valid, but I can't back it up. Romanization[edit]

I don't understand why romanization of Mandarin is used when romanization of Cantonese would be more appropriate and more interesting. 日新 as Ri-xin is just plain weird because Cantonese was spoken in Hong Kong and therefore it would have been pronounced "Yut-sun" (in Yale romanization, Yat6 San1).
