Information was clearly lifted from the above website, and this kind of non-commercial license doesn't work for wikipedia. Content removed. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 21:45, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you clarify "doesn't work?" This content was written by the band for use on websites such as this, not the other way around. Benjancewicz (talk —Preceding undated comment was added at 02:57, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

The history section while very interesting is more suited to an personal essay, opinion piece, or perspective article. It is also not written in an encyclopedic tone. The information about planning of the housing development for Naskapi and Montagnais, the dynamic between the community and the Norther Affairs office, and it's impact, along with the contextualization and explanation as to its importance and meaning is very interesting but 1. is not verified or sourced 2. Makes assumptions 3. Is written in a casual tone. While there are legitimate questions about history, oral tradition, how that is framed and verified when it comes to topics concerning indigenous history (as well as very small, isolated settlements), I have seen this sort of out-of-character, non-encyclopedic style and approach in many English wikipedia articles on indigenous topics. A better balance needs to be found and contributors and editors who are not used to writing neutrally and in an encyclopedic style should be better informed, supported, and their work corrected as needed.
