A better source for data[edit]

A better source of data on Nathan Mason would be the Huddersfield Giants website. Please see this link: [1] Michael Glass (talk) 12:58, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What's better about that one? Speccy4Eyes (talk) 19:31, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's the official club information for this player. Michael Glass (talk) 15:37, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How does that make it better? The player is firstly a person, secondly an employee of, or contracted to, a club. So long as a source is reliable it should be perfectly adequate. Speccy4Eyes (talk) 18:55, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion the official club information for the player's height and weight is likely to be more reliable than a report in the local newspaper. Of course, if the local paper had quoted the player as saying that his height is 2 metres/6ft 7inches or whatever, you might have a point. However, the Giants give Nathan's weight as 104kg, which is 16 stone 5.28 lbs or 8.72kg (3.955kg) lighter than the newspaper report. The Giants also give his height as 196cm or a little over 6ft 5in. This is 3cm taller than 6ft 4in in the local newspaper.
I believe that we should go with the official height and weight as given by the club in this instance, unless there are compelling reasons to do otherwise. Do you have any compelling reasons for using a different source of information for this player? (Of course, the display would have to be flipped to comply with the rules.)
