Membership section Comment[edit]

The list of members and the organisations they represent was removed with the reason given as WP:DIRECTORY and that the list was out of date. The list is relevant as the article is about a committee and the list details the membership of the committee, both in terms of individuals and the organisations they represent. The list is on the RCPI NIAC webpage and I could not find anything that suggests it is out of date. Similar lists appear elsewhere, e.g. National Public Health Emergency Team (2020) so I think it is reasonable to re-add.--GeneralBelly (talk) 23:38, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GeneralBelly, I suggest to remove list of members and the organisations they represent, my reasonings (other than WP:DIRECTORY), are as follows: 1) the article is focusing on the NIAC itself not individual members of NIAC, 2) only the organisation that they represent is more make sense to be included in the article, as they are included in NIAC Term or Reference, 3) other page of immunisation advisory bodies such as UK's JCVI, US' ACIP and Canada's NACI also didn't list their members. JCVI and ACIP's page has been around longer than NIAC, 4) lastly, list of member in the form of table is takes so much space in the article. it would be better to put other things on the article, such as NIAC meetings and its recommendation. If we really need to put list of members, I'd prefer to just keep a list (not table) to save more spaces. Ckfasdf (talk) 05:19, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ckfasdf, I think you're right, it looks a bit unwieldy. I would agree with your suggestion of just listing the organisations represented, that is more meaningful. --GeneralBelly (talk) 17:50, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay... the list is removed then. Ckfasdf (talk) 04:41, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
