Comment on similar article[edit]

This is very different from the page Native Americans in Popular German Culture. The other page does not mention the actual act of Germans performing Native American identity nor the historical and contemporary discussions surrounding the uncommon phenomenon. -- (unsigned comment by Keima.roseo

I see this article as a sort of POV fork. The phenomenon is quite common and its far from performing Native American identity. Germans just have different customs. Germany abandoned slavery around 1806, like the English. something like redface or blackface doesn't have the stigma as in the US. The article is in so far hilarious as it tries to single out redface or reenactment - but Germans do Brazil samba groubs or Japanese drummers as well. Factual Accuracy[edit]

Something like "Winnetou is murdered and Old Shatterhand avenges him and ultimately becomes an Apache chief" is plain bullshit.
The Radebeul scalp controversy is completely unrelated
Playing Indian and deloria are about US american phenemena predominantly

E.g. the appropratioon debate and e.g. Winnetou's Snake Oil Show could be used in a saection in the real article, the rest of the conglomerate here is a mere collection of press voices with no or just fringe relevance. Polentarion Talk 12:42, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
