Promotion-like wording

Resolved
 – No longer applicable, as of June 2014.

This reads like a press release, and a very uninformative one at that. I'm lost. Rabidwolfe 00:08, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Where are the references?

Article says:

"Other times but rarely, those who refer to themselves as 'natural bodybuilders' may also, for personal or other reasons, choose to:

  • Avoid legal and naturally-occurring substances that have been prepared in an unnatural way (such as vitamin supplements prepared from animal livers in a laboratory)
  • Avoid legal and naturally-occurring substances that have been presented in an unnatural form (such as whey protein that is extracted from cow's milk, then desiccated and presented as powder)
  • Avoid all legal substances that are not naturally-occurring (such as most antibiotics)"

Where in god's name did these assertations come from, and where are the citations??? --Ksteveh 04:35, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Unnatural photo

Resolved
 – No such photo remains in the article, as of June 2014.

does anyone in the world actually think that that guy in the pic is natural?!?!?!? lie dectectors can easily be beaten, its standard military training in many countries! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.160.19 (talk) 04:14, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

That guy on the pic is definitely not natural, you can see his irregular veins.. But the subject is great and deserves a much larger article. Many people are interested in steroid-free bodybuilding(or at least using steroids only once for startup). Supermassive bodybuilders on steroids are not pretty IMHO M99 Contributions/87.59.76.239 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:56, 15 June 2009 (UTC).

IFBB

Resolved
 – Disputed claim removed, as of June 2014.

This article says that the IFBB is not a natural competition, but the IFBB does in fact have rules against the use of banned substances and testing to detect violation of those rules. The IFBB rules are at [1]. Jeremy Reeder (talk) 18:52, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Too general

Resolved
 – Article no longer says that, as of June 2014.

You can't write "Natural bodybuilding is the practice or participation in bodybuilding competition without the use of banned substances " unless they drug-test for the whole WADA list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.226.236.202 (talk) 20:08, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
